Lyst's top swim trends for summer can work at every budget — and I've got proof. There are three-plus swimsuits below for each featured trend. Here are over 50 luxury swimsuits, from some of my favorite swimwear designers, and their more affordable counterparts to shop this summer 2019.

O-RING HARDWARE

Splurge:

Cult Gaia x Adriana Degreas

Krystle Bikini ($450)

Cult Gaia is one of the "it" brands in the fashion world. They launched their first swim collection in collaboration with Brazilian swimwear designer Adriana Degreas in May 2019. Each suit was designed to complement the brand's famous bamboo purse.

Spend:

Suboo

Xenia Bralette Bikini Top ($130)

I love prints with animals on them (as opposed to animal prints). Plus, the O-ring embellishment perfects this jungle-printed two-piece.

Steal:

TOPSHOP

Plunge One-Piece Swimsuit ($36)

Normally $52, the classic black suit is now 30% off at Nordstrom (price matched). It's polished and wearable, with an elegant deep V-neck and a high-leg cut. I wish I owned this.

SLEEVES

Splurge:

Self Portrait

Ruched Floral Bikini Top ($193)

The Self Portait label makes gorgeous formal wear — and now swim.

Splurge:

LoveShackFancy

Luella Bikini Top ($175) + Harbor Bikini Bottom ($130)

LoveShackFancy is the ultimate go-to for ruffles and boho chic florals that remind me of the Luberon in the South of France.

Spend:

Onia x WeWoreWhat

Onia x We Wore What Ravello Eyelet Top ($120)

The entire Onia x We Wore What collection exudes yacht-worthy, European vacay vibes. Every single piece is both trend-informed and tasteful.

Think: classic blue, vertical stripes on a one-shoulder bikini; duvet-worthy florals on black or white backgrounds; and high-waisted, tie-front bottoms reminiscent of Mara Hoffman's top-sellers.

Even the solid white pieces offer detailed eyelets and draped fabrics, offsetting the prints to perfection.

It's impossible to pick a favorite, but structured sleeves on a bikini = amazing.

Spend:

Tropic of C

Dune ($120)

In black or a mossy green.

Steal:

LA Hearts

Navy Emily Lettuce Off the Shoulder Bikini Top ($30)

It's on sale for less than $20.

UNDERWIRE TOP

Splurge:

Lonely Label

Greta Swimsuit ($185)

Splurge:

L*Space

Camellia Bikini Top ($110) + Sandy Bottom ($75)

Spend:

Fella Swim

Brad Top ($138) + Luca Bottom ($92)

Note how this yellow floral bikini pulls off feminine without being girly.

Spend:

Peony

Whimsy Soft Balconette ($70) + Grasslands String Pant ($62)

Different bottoms are pictured but I love this floral print.

Steal:

Sunn Lab

Underwire Bikini Top ($30) + High Leg Mid Rise Bikini Bottom ($25)

Thank you, Target, for this trend-conscious but affordable alternative.

ELEVATED NECKLINES

+ OPEN BACKS

Splurge:

Karla Colletto

Katherine Plunge-Neck One-Piece ($338)

It's a party in the front *and* in the back, but those minimalist neutrals keep things grounded.

Splurge:

La Revêche

La Reveche Jamal Top ($253)

Ranging from a deep-V with cinched fabric to this faux turtle neck halter, these gorgeous suits are not ideal for swimming... They are ideal for pool-to-party hopping. Just layer it with bottoms and head straight into a restaurant after sunbathing. Linen pants, large sunglasses, and slides create an instant outfit that'll fit in your tote bag.

Are these suits too much for the beach? Nah. In the owner's words, "[T]hey're meant to make you feel beautiful in every situation."

Spend:

Eberjey

So Solid Loreta One Piece ($159)

This is a best-seller on Revolve.

Spend:

Profile by Gottex

Tutti Frutti Black Plus Size OTS Ruffle One Piece Swimsuit ($151)

Normally $168 and has an embellished back.

Steal:

Missguided

Black Underwire U Plunge High Leg Swimsuit ($42)

High legs, underwire, cut-outs, and a sexy back make this classic black one-piece a worthy pick.

NEON

Splurge:

For Love & Lemons

Daiquiri Ring Bandeau ($117) + Daiquiri Ring Bikini Bottom ($108)

I love the brand's take on the neon trend. This rainbow sherbet-esque orange was their latest shade to drop in a collection bursting with ruffles, frills, florals, and ruching.

Spend:

PAPER London

Bandeau Bikini Top ($105) + Bikini Bottoms ($110)

Steal:

Boux Avenue

Ruched Side Swimsuit ($52)

For a less pricy look at the neon trend, check out the one-pieces and bikinis at Boux Avenue. You will love the look of the high-leg trend, which makes your stems look longer.

FRONT CUT-OUTS

Splurge:

Soah Swimwear

Magdalena Rose Gold One-Piece ($190)

I wear the bikini version of this suit and it's great.

Spend:

Chelsea28

Scallop Bandeau One-Piece Swimsuit ($89)

Steal:

Forever 21

Bow Cutout Swimsuit ($30)

HIGH LEG

Splurge:

Benoa Swim

Utopia One Piece ($200)

The founders are two teens that really nail that minimalist-edgy vibe that is popular on Instagram. The pieces I like from the line are blunt-edged and minimalist — like this high-cut one-piece with a square neckline, and a bandeau-top/high-waisted bikini — in colors like black, red, nude, or animal print. The line is also exclusive considering it's constantly sold out!

Spend:

Amuse Society

Paislee One Piece ($170)

If you love high-thigh suits, also be sure to check out Vitamin A.

Steal:

Andie Swim

HINT: Andie is kind of my go-to for elevated one-piece swim with minimalist design (see below).

Steal:

Forever21

High-Leg One-Piece Swimsuit ($13)

MINIMALIST ONE-PIECE

Splurge:

Galamaar

Galamaar Roe Maillot Rouge ($255)

This luxury swimwear line is eco-chic and gorgeous on. The high-end vibes come down to it's design; this one-piece discreetly pulls off a deep-V and high-thigh cut with class. When compared with the red one-piece by trendy Benoa above, the seemingly simple design comes across as elegant rather than risqué. The two red one-pieces couldn't have a more different feel (and for the record, manmade Econyl, which Galamaar is 89% made out of, feels luxurious). I've been wearing the suit above constantly!

They also just launched a new shade, Cocoa, which I've been wearing while working on my tan. It's a rich brown shade which is perfectly aligned with the demand for "neutral-everything" that's popular in fashion RN.

Splurge:

Mimi the Label

The Geraldine ($220)

Spend:

Andie Swim

Yes, another nod to Andie Swim, which also sells a great wallet-friendly alternative — The Mykonos ($95) — which comes in red, too. Their entire line is minimalist, comfortable, and pieces go for under $100.

Steal:

TWIIN

Petra One Piece Swimsuit ($69)

It's currently on sale at PacSun.

STRIPES

Splurge:

Amaio Swim

Béatrice Underwire Bikini Top ($295) + Béatrice Bottoms ($188)

This is actual swim couture IRL, costing up to $517 for a single suit. But it shows in the quality and innovativeness of the collection.

The line's best-selling bridal suit is glamorous enough to make a wedding-cynic reconsider the merits of having a bachelorette party. Some of the best necklines are street style-worthy when paired with cropped denim, culottes, or a pleated midi skirt — which, by the way, they also sell. This line is sophisticated and glamorous, and a little more put-together than your average swimsuit.

Spend:

Fleur du Mal

Mitered Stripe Balconette Top ($145) + Side Tie Bikini Bottom ($98)

Steal:

Skye

Hilary D, DD, E, & F Cup Top - PRIMAVERA ($50) + Mid Waist Fold Over Bottom ($47)

An excellent brand for ladies with big busts. The pictured bottoms are only available in XS so I provided the link to a different pair.

Steal:

Figleaves

Cast Away Under Wired Plunge Bikini Top D-GG Cup ($43) + Stripe Fold Bikini Brief ($20)

Tip: This brand is excellent for ladies with large boobs and is on sale rn.

ANIMAL PRINT

Splurge:

Mara Hoffman

Kia One-Piece Swimsuit ($275)

Meet one of the top-selling one-piece swimsuits... ever. Mara Hoffman swim is incredibly popular right now, even sold in less-pricy variations at the retailer Madewell. The line is also great because it's one of the few designer collections that is also inclusive, available in extended (plus) sizes.

Spend:

Reformation

Tropicana One Piece ($128)

For an almost identical suit, you can't miss this dead-ringer for the top-seller by sustainable Los Angeles brand, Reformation. (But I'm partial to the "Malibu" print.)

Steal:

Xhilaration

Ribbed Cheeky High Leg High Waist Bikini Bottom ($18) + Ribbed Bralette Top ($18)

If it's a two-piece you're after, Target recently revamped their fashion section to include new brands in size-inclusive ranges.

BELTED ONE-PIECE

Splurge:

Montce

Sold Out: Cream Rib Kim One Piece w/ Belt ($198)

My bestie-slash-fashion guru, Tamar, clued me in to the amazingness that is Montce. She advises that a lot of the styles are also great for big boobs — something I don't personally struggle with, but that I have written about. This is definitely one of their more understated looks, but I think the design is gorgeous.

Spend:

Eloquii

Halter Tie Neck Swimsuit ($70)

Extended sizes available at the fabulous, high-end retailer Eloquii.

Steal:

ASOS

New Look Belted Swimsuit in White ($42)

WHITE BIKINI

Splurge:

Jonathan Simkhai

Lace Ruffle Strap Bikini Top ($195) + Lace Insert Bikini Bottoms ($165)

Don't worry — it's on sale.

Spend:

Wet Swimwear

Victoria ($88) + Vanessa ($68)

Spend:

Volcom

Simply Seamless Underwire Top ($61) + Cheeky Bottom ($46)

Available in large cup sizes and extended sizes.

Steal:

REVLY

Cindy Top ($52) + Bre Bottom ($48)

V-CUT BOTTOMS

Splurge:

SOLID AND STRIPED

The Eva Top ($84) + Bottom ($84)

Solid & Striped is one of the hottest swim lines right now. From gingham, to animal print, to Taylor Swift-approved stripes, it's my go-to for the most current trends. However, I'm partial to the understated Tati Top + Bottom ($79 each) in Mocha or green, as well as their bandeau styles and houndstooth prints.

Spend:

Sidway Swim

The Judy Leopard Printed Bikini Top ($90) + The Linda Bikini Bottom ($85)

When you shop from retailer Olivela, you'll be donating days of school to Syrian refugees.

Steal:

Charlie Holiday

Dylan Bikini Top ($54) + Escapist Bottoms ($44)

Steal:

H&M

Bandeau Bikini Top ($18) + V-Cut Bikini Bottoms ($13)

I linked to a different top that I like more.

NEUTRAL SWIM

Splurge:

Oséree

Travaillé Two Piece ($294)

Splurge:

Jade Swim

Halo Top ($120) + Lure Bottom ($90)

Jade Swim was the first minimalist, luxury swimwear line I ever fell in love with. Fashion editor-founded, sun-protective, and luxury fabrics are three perks that show. I especially love their one-shoulder suits.

P.S I featured them on Brit + Co.

Spend:

Toteme

Brown Royan Bikini Top ($70) + Nantes Bikini Bottom ($70)

Spend:

Proclaim

The Reversible Nudesuit ($79)

It comes in both deep tones and lighter tones to cover a range of flesh tones.

Steal:

ZARA

Swimsuit with Ruffled Shoulder ($40)

NUDE FLORALS

Splurge:

Zimmerman

Wayfarer Strapless One Piece ($350)

Spend:

VITAMIN A by Amahlia Stevens

Lou Top ($106) + Lupe Bottom ($110)

This sustainable newcomer made one of my favorite "nude" florals for summer. This will look amazing with a tan.

Steal:

Shade & Shore

Bow Back Bralette Bikini Top ($20) + Tie Side Hipster Bikini Bottom ($18)

Score some taupe-backed florals for significantly less at Target.

STRAPLESS ONE-PIECE

Splurge:

Alexandra Miro

Whitney Swimsuit ($248)

Alexandra Miro is a London-based brand with some of my favorite resort pairings to wear with your swim.

Spend:

Gottex

Cameroon Leopard Bandeau One Piece Swimsuit ($134)

It's on sale from $168.

Spend:

Robin Piccone

Luca Belted One-Piece Swimsuit ($158)

Steal:

La Blanca

Bandeau One-Piece Swimsuit ($99)

Steal:

Aerie

Ribbed Bandeau One-Piece Swimsuit ($55)
