How to Give Your Hair and Scalp the Ultimate CBD Treatment

These products basically saved my life.

I will keep this short and sweet because I am in the middle of a move overseas.

I used to get the Brazilian blowout treatment to chemically smoothe and straighten my naturally wavy hair. Unfortunately, I had a reaction to the toxic treatment and ended up with a horrible case of scalp eczema ever since. It's not constant, but will flare up and create discomfort for weeks at a time. It can become painful and irritated if left untreated, and it's a total bane.

I've figured out that dairy and stress can trigger these eczema breakouts. As much as I try to eat a clean diet, there are still times that I end up with a reaction I have to deal with. In the past, I haven't been able to find anything available over the counter to resolve the issue; my doctor has had to prescribe me medicated shampoos to heal from the worst of the inflammation.

I have tried countless haircare Iines and found many keepers — none of which are as successful at calming down my irritated scalp as Emera. When I finally used the CBD-infused shampoo and conditioner duo by Emera, I noticed a major difference to the quality and health of my hair.

Here's the regimen for a CBD-infused hair and scalp treatment.

Emera CBD Shampoo, $25 + Conditioner, $25

It smells amazing, feels amazing, and kept my hair looking great for days. I was genuinely impressed by this shampoo and conditioner and will definitely continue using them.

Maria Nila True Soft Masque, $30

I have to use some sort of masque or deep conditoner on my hair, otherwise it can become dry and coarse. This is one of my favorites.

Fred Segal X R+Co Waterfall Moisture + Shine Lotion, $29

Nomad Serum Transcend Serum, $54

This luxury CBD hair serum appeals to me on multiple levels. All it takes is a few drops of the clean formulation to smoothe strands and tend to split ends with botanical extracts and anti-inflammatory CBD. Plus, it's silicone-free, unlike my other go-to, *DryBar 100 Proof, $20-$36.

Eva NYC Healthy Heat Pro-Lite Hair Dryer, $70

This dryer uses infrared heat to dry your hair. The air stream comes out cool so you can dry off post-shower without breaking a sweat.

Sultra After Hours Thermalite Dryer Brush, $150

The popular style, which merges hair brush with blow dryer, dries and styles locks simultaneously. I love mine.
