10 Versatile Fashion Finds on My "Add to Cart" Wishlist

Updated: Aug 5, 2019

Tom, if you're reading this...

This is an aspirational wish list. I jokingly refer Tom to lists like this one when he needs to "bribe" me out of a bad mood. I also half-consider this to be a low-key manifesting list.

But really, I love curating beautiful things. My job brings me into contact with great finds that I have had to learn to resist purchasing. The amount of energy spent suppressing my shopping impulses needs to be redirected somehow, hence this post's creation.

I really want these items — all of them — from fancy to casual, gold to silver. Even if I can't use them all at once, most are so versatile that they can still be used together. That makes them a justifiable little capsule of luxury just waiting to be pieced together.

Here are 10 fashion finds currently on my "add to cart" wish list.

1

Self Portrait Eliza Crystal-Embellished Mules ($430)

I always love Self-Portrait aesthetically. These kitten heeled mules are made playful by the combination of gold and silver. The 90s-inspired chain hardware is 100% on trend, while the mash up of emerald and round crystals calls to mind the cluster diamond trend in engagement rings. Tip: If you’re between sizes, size up. I got these in 7.5 but needed an 8.

2

Hayward Venetian Brocade Bobby Clutch ($1,890)

The couch-y print combines Pantone-sequel coral with popping mustard. Yes and yes.

3

Bianca Pratt Sao Bento Coin Studs ($211)

I am obsessed with coin jewelry and have written about it on Brit + Co. I can only wear hypoallergenic earrings, like those by Tinilux, or super high quality platinum (too expensive).

4

J. Crew Point Sur Retro Boy Jean with Ripped Hem ($128)

My current favorite jeans are Point Sur Hightower Straight Jean in Blue Haze Vintage . My go-to picks have been destroyed, raw hem, and cropped. I've noticed that J. Crew has been having major sales — like, 40% off — at random. Probably to offset some of Madewell's success.

5

Anne Fontaine Walla ($350)

A modern belt buckle makes the country western-inspired double-buckle trend more urban. I actually love the way a belt can complete an outfit (and make you feel contained), but they're a difficult accessory to spend money on.

6

Kule The Crop ($98)

Crop tops were made for pairing with high rise jeans and this is my dream striped t.

7

ZARA Transparent Soled Sneakers ($40)

I still need to buy a pair of white sneakers!

8

Maje M Backpack in Leather with Chain ($410)

I love the way a silver chain (which you can buy separately from the bag) makes a handbag (or mini backpack) more interesting.

9

Tiffany & Co. Tiffany T Wire Bracelet ($3,400)

Their new T collection holds special significance because I call Tom "T."

10

Mara & Mine Montana Hand Slide ($250)

Delightfully morbid.
