Not long after the Neiman Marcus CBD beauty launch, Herbivore Botanicals is following suit. The clean indie brand sells a number of non-toxic skincare favorites, and I know more than one beauty-obsessed lady with a favorite product from the line. Chelsea Cronin, the blogger behind @obsessive_compulsive_beauty *and* an old sorority sister from college, loves their Balancing Green Tea Toner ($39). Meanwhile, Jenna Schreck, the green goddess behind the blog No Whey Lady, swears by their Blue Tansy AHA + BHA Resurfacing Clarity Mask ($48) for clearing up congested skin.

But even beyond their cruelty-free, toxin-free lineup of green beauty skincare products, there's another reason to love Herbivore: They stand up for what they believe in. Following the launch of the O.G. hemp-derived facial oil — Herbivore Emerald ($48) — they announced their commitment to raising awareness of the benefits of CBD.

Their latest launch is the second generation of the glitzy product, containing 100 mg CBD and adaptogens for ten bucks more. Don't worry, it contains less than 0.3% THC. You will have to order it separately from the rest of the product line, however.

It sounds like a topical chill pill, helping to mitigate environmental damage done to the skin as well as soothing any irritation, redness, or reactions present with stress-reducing adaptogens. This sounds exactly like something that I should keep on-hand (or possibly chug).

According to their PR agency, "Herbivore advocates for the legalization of cannabis — the whole plant and all of its constituents — and aims to educate people on the many benefits that cannabis has to offer, from chronic disease and pain management, to its incredible skincare perks. As part of this initiative, Herbivore Botanicals will donate $1 from every Emerald sale to women-owned organizations in the cannabis industry and also towards legalization efforts nationwide."

All in the name of our girl Mary Jane!

P.S. It'll be available soon at Sephora.
